THE RESORT
Saalbach-Hinterglemm is one of Austria's largest ski areas and Saalbach - the larger of the two villages, is a charming, quintessential alpine resort..with stylish shops and cafes.
Great for families. it also is home to quite a lively apres-ski scene so there is plenty on offer after dark.
The saying goes in Saalbach Hinterglemm: Simply go through the front door and start skiing! And after a day’s skiing the ski resort, you can make your final turns directly to your accommodation! That’s “Ski in – Ski out” and at many hotels, guest houses or apartments in Saalbach Hinterglemm it’s a lovely attractive extra. A lot of the accommodation in Saalbach Hinterglemm is located in close to the ski area and your day of skiing starts practically outside the front door.
Hinterglemm is further up the valley and less boisterous than it's bigger neighbour so ideal for families though it does still do a mean apres ski!
