Complete the evening with fondue SLEIGH RIDE AND FONDUE Experience a magical sleigh ride in the clear mountain air as you travel through the snowy landscape | Panorama Mountain rises 4,000 vertical feet above true slope-side lodging and giant hot pools, but it's not until you reach the summit that the real scale of the terrain becomes apparent. Below, are Canada's longest groomed fall-line cruisers and legendary 'backcountry style' riding. Panorama has 2,847 acres of terrain - ranging from wide open fall-line cruisers to powder-filled tree lines and the steep and deep exhilaration in Taynton Bowl. The ski area is perfect for many skiers as 75% of the runs are suitable for beginners or intermediates. Think wide open groomers, winding down the fall-line from the summit right to the village base area or to the door of your condo. For black-diamond runs head to the Taynton Bowl. Previously a Heli-skiing tenure, the area is now within bounds, so the slopes are patrolled, avalanche controlled and no backcountry gear is needed. Warm up first as the 700 acre bowl is all black runs. It's a great place to find powder stashes days after a dump. This season Panorama has created a one-of-a-kind terrain park on Powder Trail. With tons of features and variety, this park is built for serious FUN! Panorama's Rockstar Terrain Park features ski-cross, jumps, hips, spines, rails, boxes and freestyle moguls to accommodate riders of all abilities. With over one kilometre of features, divided into upper and lower sections, our terrain park is the biggest and best in the Kootenay Rockies region. |
